Tropical resort on the Kona Coast with 6 pools and 20 pickleball courts

Amenities & Recreation

Holua Resort offers 6 outdoor swimming pools and 6 hot tubs spread across tropical gardens with lava rock and palm trees. The resort has 8 tennis courts plus 20 pickleball courts at the Holua Paddle and Racquet Center, where guests can buy a punchcard for $10 per session. Eight barbecue grilling areas and a newly renovated workout room are available for guest use.

Accommodations

Each suite provides a full kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, and refrigerator, plus a washer and dryer in the unit. One- and two-bedroom layouts sleep four to six guests, with a king bed in the master, a king or two twin beds in the guest room, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Two-level unit designs include a private lanai with outdoor furniture and separate bathrooms for each bedroom.

Activities & Entertainment

Complimentary on-site activities include lei making, Hawaiian crafts, and botanical tours that teach about the resort's tropical foliage. A weekly keiki (child) hula show offers Polynesian dance performances for guests of all ages. The resort also loans beach gear such as boogie boards and chairs from a borrowing shed.

Location & Nearby Attractions

Holua Resort sits two blocks from shopping, restaurants, and movie theaters along Ali'i Drive, and within a five-minute walk of the Keauhou Bay marina for boat excursions. Hapuna Beach State Park, voted #1 top beach in 2021 by CNN Travel, is a 15-minute drive north. Kahalu'u Beach Park, known for excellent snorkeling, is three minutes away by car.

Family-Friendly Features

The resort provides a designated family-friendly environment with child-oriented shows and multiple pools that allow families to find a quiet spot. Free parking in a covered garage and a golf cart shuttle service help families transport luggage from the parking area to their unit. Late check-out options are available upon request, and the front desk can supply extra towels and basic toiletries.
